This article describes a solution for an issue where the system interface information is not displayed when running the 'sudo global show' command on a VDOM.
Scope
FortiGate v7.2.8, v7.4.3, v7.4.4.
Solution
When the command 'sudo global show' is executed on a VDOM, no system interface information is displayed, as shown below:
config vdom edit root (root) # sudo global show | grep "config system interface"
However, when the command is run from the Global VDOM, the system interface information is correctly displayed:
config global (global) # show | grep "config system interface" config system interface
This issue has been resolved in FortiOS versions 7.2.9, 7.4.5, 7.6.0.
