Description This article describes steps to be taken to do when the user is unable to see or configure features like DHCP blocking, STP, and loop guard on managed FortiSwitch ports in FortiGate GUI after upgrading to FortiOS 7.4.8.
Scope FortiGate 7.4.8.
Solution

The features like DHCP blocking, STP, and loop guard on managed FortiSwitch ports under WiFi & Switch Controller -> FortiSwitch Ports do not show after upgrading the FortiGate to 7.4.8, making it difficult to configure or enable them. This is due to a FortiSwitch port GUI design change in version 7.4.8.

These port features can be now configured using the following steps:

On the FortiSwitch port page, modify the column header by selecting the gear sign to show the feature intended to be configured, such as STP, BDPU, edge port, etc. Check them to show them in the column.

Select the port to configure. There will be a small pen icon that appears in the top right corner of the box to edit that feature. Select it.

Selecting an edit option will provide a drop-down box to enable or disable the selected feature.

Once changes have been set to 'enable' or 'disable', select Apply to save the configuration.
