| Description | This article describes the troubleshooting steps when trying to add an interface to the policy, but it fails with the error 'Input Value is invalid' or 'Entry not found'. |
| Scope | FortiGate. |
| Solution |
When trying to add the interface in a policy, it is not possible to save it, and gives the error 'Input Value is invalid'.
Or sometimes it gives the error 'Entry not found'.
This happens if the interface is already specified in the Zone, and if the interface is in the Zone, then it cannot be specified as an individual interface in the policy, and the Zone has to be specified in the policy to accept it.
It can be checked what zone the interface is specified in by checking the references.
Once the correct Zone is selected in the policy, the policy will accept it and save it.
