Description This article describes a known issue that users faced after upgrading to 7.2.x, where the ‘Edit in CLI’ option in the SD-WAN page does not open the correct CLI path.
Scope FortiOS 7.2.x.
Solution

The known issue #898059 affects the ‘Edit in CLI’ option in the SD-WAN pages, as this option opens a CLI console with an incorrect CLI path in FortiOS 7.2.x.

This article shows the how ‘Edit in CLI’ option works in the Web GUI of the FortiGate.

 

The following steps will demonstrate this known issue:

  • Navigate to Network -> SD-WAN, then select SD-WAN Rules.

  • Edit the rule and then select ‘Edit in CLI’.

In FortiOS v7.0.x, this option will open a CLI console with the correct CLI path (config system sdwan -> config service -> edit 1).

In FortiOS v7.2.x, this option will open a CLI console with an incorrect CLI path (config system sdwan -> edit 1).

This issue affects most of the SD-WAN pages i.e. SD-WAN Zones, SD-WAN members, SD-WAN rules and Performance SLA.

This issue is fixed in FortiOS v7.4.x and v7.6.x.
