This article describes how to fix an issue where settings are not saved when trying to enable Fortiguard Spam Filtering options under an Email Filter profile. Note that the Email filter profile feature needs to be enabled from System -> Feature visibility.

Solution | This behavior occurs because FortiGuard Spam Filtering features are only available when the email profile is changed to proxy-based. By default, the email profile is set to flow-based. This is expected behavior as outlined in the administration guide.
