Description

This article describes what information should be reviewed if the license is not reflected.

Scope

New FortiGates, a FortiGate received from RMA.

Solution

Before troubleshooting, perform the following steps and verify that the information is correct:

  1. Log in to FortiCloud asset management with the appropriate credentials and verify the FortiGate serial number.

  1. Go to FortiGate Dashboard -> Status and verify that the same serial number appears.

  1. On the FortiGate, verify that the correct FortiCloud account appears in System -> FortiGuard.

If there is an inconsistency with the FortiCloud account, transfer the FortiGate to the correct account.

If inside an HA cluster, do the same checks for the Secondary unit. 

 

For the licenses to show correctly, they must match on both the Primary and Secondary units.

If the FortiGate is still not showing the correct licenses, there may be an issue contacting FortiGuard.

 

It is possible to see if this is failing and why by running the following debug:

 

diagnose debug disable

diagnose debug reset

diagnose debug application update -1

diagnose debug enable

execute update-now

 

To stop the debug:

 

diagnose debug disable
