Troubleshooting Tip: Interface not getting listed in dropdown menu while creating 'Shared WAN' tunnel

Description	This article describes why an interface may not be listed in the dropdown menu while creating a 'Shared WAN' tunnel and offers a solution.
Scope	FortiGate
Solution	As shown in the following image, the intended interface to share internet connectivity with is not listed: First, check that the interface setting in role is defined as 'WAN'. This is necessary to make an interface possible to select. The default value is 'Undefined': change it to 'WAN'. After changing it, note that the interface intended for use is in the list. Note: If the role is defined as 'LAN', the interface still will not appear in the list.
