Description | This article describes the steps to recover access after the firmware upgrade is complete and the fabric is down. |
Scope | FortiGate, FortiSwitch |
Solution |
In most cases, when FortiGate is migrated to the latest firmware version, it loses management of the fabric. This means FortiLink goes down, and devices are shown as inaccessible.
Run the following command to validate the connectivity for devices:
FGT# exec switch-controller get-con-status <Serial Number from FortiSwitch>
After confirming, check the FortiLink interface and re-enable the Security Fabric Connection. Synchronization will return again.
