Description This article describes how to resolve an issue where the 'FortiSwitch Ports' page does not load in the FortiGate GUI.
Scope FortiGate.
Solution

Navigate to 'Wifi Controller' and select 'FortiSwitch Ports'.

The 'FortiSwitch Ports' page does not load in the GUI.

Try clearing the cache and cookies from the browser and test with a different browser. If the problem persists, see notes below.

 

This issue causes high CPU usage, specifically due to the WAD process.

Workaround:

Restart the WAD process by running the following command:

fnsysctl killall wad

 

Or:


diagnose sys kill 11 <PID>

To find the process ID, run the following command:


diagnose sys process pidof <PROCESS_NAME>

 

This issue has been resolved in:

  • v7.4.9 (available to download from the Fortinet support portal)
  • v7.6.4 (available to download from the Fortinet support portal)
  • v7.6.5 (scheduled to be released in November 2025)
  • v8.0.0 (scheduled to be released in February 2026)

These timelines for firmware release are estimated and may be subject to change.
