Description
This article describes the issue when the FortiGate unit repeatedly reboots. When viewing the status through the console, the following output appears:

Scope
FortiGate, Firmware, TFTP, Flash Format, Flash memory, Corruption, RMA, Recovery.
Solution
This message means that there is an issue with flash memory. Most probably, there is a bad block and the system tried to access it.
To recover from this issue is to format the boot device (flash memory) and reload the same firmware version as before, and then restore configuration from a backup file or reconfigure the unit from scratch manually if not having the updated configuration backup.
