Under system events logs, the following logs are seen:
This disconnect usually happens every few minutes and the disconnect is for a fraction of second.
This is mainly caused in scenarios where there is a dual WAN connection either set to load balance or in SD WAN setup, this is when by default, the FortiGate selects the interface automatically to communicate with the FortiGate Cloud Server.
If SD-WAN is configured on the firewall for dual WAN, the interface-select-method must be set as follows, and an SD-WAN policy must be created with a manual strategy.
