| Description | This article describes an issue where FortiGate-70G running v7.2.8 Build 6403 may experience interfaces becoming non-operational or stuck with no traffic after rebooting. |
| Scope | FortiGate-70G. |
| Solution |
This behavior is caused by a software issue already addressed by Fortinet R&D.
For now, use the following workaround: Configure the affected FortiGate-70G ports on a software switch instead of a hardware switch. Note that a reboot is required for the changes to take effect.
Fix: Already addressed in a special branch of v7.2.11, it is released on build 6570 and in v7.4.8 (70G can be directly upgraded from v7.2.11 to v7.4.8 per the Upgrade Path Tool Table).
