Description

This article describes an issue where FortiGate-70G running v7.2.8 Build 6403 may experience interfaces becoming non-operational or stuck with no traffic after rebooting.

Scope

FortiGate-70G.

Solution

This behavior is caused by a software issue already addressed by Fortinet R&D.

For now, use the following workaround:

Configure the affected FortiGate 70G ports on a software switch instead of a hardware switch. Note that a reboot is required for the changes to take effect.

Permanent Fix:

A permanent fix is planned for v7.4.8, expected to be released in late April.
