This article describes how to fix an issue where FortiClient shows as 'Unlicensed' in a FortiGate firewall.
Any supported versions of FortiGate, FortiClient and FortiClient VPN.
This issue occurs when a free version of the VPN is in use.
To fix the issue, uninstall the existing VPN and download FortiClient VPN:
1) Go to https://support.fortinet.com.
2) Navigate to Firmware downloads.
3) Select FortiClient.
4) Select MAC.
5) Select the correct version of the FortiClient VPN and install it.
