Description	This article describes how to install FortiClient if the error 'The digital signature on the installer package is invalid. Installation aborted' appears when trying to install it from the products download page on the website.
Scope	FortiClient.
Solution	Workaround. The current work around for this issue on a windows machine is as follows: Go to Internet Options -> Advanced settings -> Scroll down for security settings -> enable the 'Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid' option and apply the changes. After enabling this setting, the error message will not pop up when trying to download FortiClient from the previously mentioned website.  Note: If the user does not want to follow the workaround or make changes on the windows machine, use the following solution instead. Alternate solution. Login to 'support.fortinet.com'. Navigate to Support -> Firmware download -> select product (FortiClient) -> Windows -> navigate to the desired firmware version -> choose the desired version of the forticlient.exe file. Once the download is complete, it can be verified with a successful installation.
