Description | This article explains issues with certain AVAGO transceivers not showing relevant statistics in the CLI and how to fix it. |
Scope | FortiGate, |
Solution | When running CLI commands such as 'get sys interface transceiver <port>', the normal expectation is to receive output regarding the following values: 'Temperature/Voltage/Optical'. However, when using an AVAGO transceiver with part number AFBR-79EBPZ, these values are not shown. Below is a similar output: TEST_FortiGate # get system interface transceiver portXX This is not an issue on the FortiGate or FortiOS side. This seems to be a limitation on the hardware QSFP, as the transceiver 'AFBR-79EBPZ' does NOT support Temp/Voltage/Power monitoring. |
