This article explains why FortiGate is getting the messages 'No IGMP-IF for ifindex <index no>'.
This article assumes that the IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) configuration is already in place. |
| Scope |
In FortiGate logs, the following messages will be visible:
This warning message means FortiGate receives IGMP messages from an interface 'index number' that does not have IGMP function enabled. |
| Solution |
Either configure the interface under 'config router multicast' or use the following KB to filter out the IGMP messages.
For stopping the firewall in generating the message, download the logs and check for the event log ID to filter out. (Should be logid="0103020301", check from logs to confirm)
