The option to disable 'message-upon-server-error' under 'config web-proxy explicit' is intended to stop the error message from being displayed and allow the browser to retry in case of 504 Gateway Timeout error.
Disabling the 'message-upon-server-error' command has been found to not work in certain FortiOS versions, such as 7.2.3, 7.2.8, 7.4.4 in bug ID 1042125. The 'disable' option is not honored in these FortiOS versions.
