Technical Tip: What is the reaction time of fail-detect

Description	This article describes the test to identify the reaction time of fail-detect feature in FortiGate.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	1) The concept of the fail-detect feature can be found here: https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortigate/6.2.0/new-features/517328/extend-interface-failure-dete... But it does not mention the reaction time when the interface (that is configured as fail-alert-interface) will go down after the main interface is down. 2) A test in the lab has been done and the reaction time was about 2 seconds when the interface's state changed from UP to DOWN, and was about 1 second when the status changed from DOWN to UP.
