Description	This article describes the 'Web filter Service error invalid license' error while accessing a website.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	When trying to access a certain website with UTM enabled on the firewall policy, the error 'Web filter Service error invalid license' is shown. To solve this issue, make sure to have a valid web filter license on the FortiGate. If it has expired, it will show the error above. In the web filter security events, an 'Invalid license' error is shown as depicted in the diagram below: If the license is renewed but the error persists, restart the URL filter using the command 'diagnose test application urlfilter 99'. If it still does not work, download the License manually from FortiCloud and upload it to FortiGate.
