This article describes using automation to add boot scripts and custom config in GCP FortiGate setups and auto-scaling. 

 

Scope

 

FortiGate VM (standalone/HA/Auto scale) deployed in GCP.

 

Solution

 

  • When creating the FortiGate VM, navigate to Management -> Automation.

  • Add the custom CLI script for Fortigate to run after it boots up.
