Description This article describes how to uninstall the FSSO DC Agent, TS Agent and Collector Agent on a Domain member host.
Scope Windows Server 2019, FSSO version v5.0.x.
Solution
Uninstall DC Agent:
  1. Stop the FSAE service and set it to manual or disabled:

  1. Go to the System32 directory and rename the file dcagent.dll to dcagent.dll.old.

  1. Run the uninstaller from the Control panel or the FSAE directory. It requires a reboot of the domain member host, often it is the domain controller, to finish the uninstall operation.

  1. Reboot the server.

How to uninstall DC agent when more than one DC agent is installed on Domain Controller as below:

To uninstall one of the DC agents, then follow the below steps. In this case, the DC agent will be uninstalled from the 10.108.3.13 FSSO Collector agent server:

Uncheck the above Domain Controller and select OK. It will ask to remove DC agent on the domain controller as below:

Select Yes:

From the above screen, the DC agent has been removed from the Domain Controller, and it did not ask for a reboot.

When more than one DC agent has been installed on the respective Domain Controller, then the Domain controller does not ask for reboot, (however, if only one DC agent is installed then the respective Domain controller will restart,  schedule this activity during the maintenance window).

There is now just one DC agent installed on the Domain Controller, as can be seen in the screen capture below.

Uninstall TS Agent :

  1. Stop the FSAE service and set it to manual or disabled:

  1. Run the uninstaller from Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.

  1. Reboot the server.

 

Uninstall Collector Agent.

  1. Stop the service:

  1. Use regedit.exe and remove the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Fortinet_FSAE.

  1. Remove the directory %programfiles%\fortinet\fsae.

  1. Run the uninstaller from Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features.
