Technical Tip: Traffic Shaper Statistics on GUI

Description

This article describes how to check traffic shaper statistics on GUI.

Scope

FortiGate v7.0+, v7.2+, v7.4+.

Solution

The below example assumes that there is already a Traffic Shaper configured and used on the Firewall Policy or Traffic Shaping Policy:
Traffic shaping

Add Widget on the Dashboard:

1. Go to Dashboard -> Network -> Add Widget.
2. Search for 'destination' and select/add 'FortiView Traffic Shaping'. Then 'Add Widget'.

 

 

 

Add Monitor on FortiView:

1. Go to Dashboard.
2. Select the '+' sign on FortiView then 'Add Monitor'.
    

3. Search for 'destination' and select/add 'FortiView Traffic Shaping'. Then 'Add Widget'.

Note: 

Only traffic through forward traffic shapers will be included in FortiView; per-IP shapers are not included.
