Description This article describes the expected behaviour of the fixed Policy Name column in FortiGate firewall policies, which cannot be rearranged or repositioned.
Scope FortiGate firmware versions from v7.4.4 up to the latest release.
Solution

In FortiGate versions up to v7.4.3, firewall policies can be created and rearranged by columns such as Name, ID, Source, Destination, and others using features like Interface Pair View, Sequence Grouping View, or By Sequence (see the attachment below).

Only v7.4.3 is possible and upper not.jpg

From Firewall versions v7.4.4 to across all the higher versions of FortiOS, the Policy Name column for Firewall policies remains fixed and unable to be interchanged or rearranged with other columns, for example, ID or Source (see the attachment below).

Policy Name is unchangeable.jpg

Thus, it can be confirmed that it is an expected behaviour from FortiGate Firewall version v7.4.4 to all the latest releases.
