| Solution |
Problem Description: A FortiGate firewall is unable to either update its databases or it is unable to update license information.
Triage: While running the debugs 'diagnose debug application update -1' and 'diagnose debug enabled', the following error message shows:
Root cause: The above logs indicate that the memory buffer allocation for the updated process is having an issue related to memory allocation in the process.
Restarting the 'updated' process will resolve the issue:
If issuing the command fnsysctl killall updated gives the error 'Unknown action 0' an alternative way to restart the updated process:
diag sys process pidof updated |
