This article describes a use case for trying to change the link speed for one port which is a part of quad group.
FortiGate.
utm (port25) # set speed 25000full
utm (port25) # next
The speed/mediatype/FEC of port25/port26/port27/port28 will be changed from 10000full/sr/disable to 25000full/sr/cl91-rs-fec.

It is possible to run the command 'get hardware npu np6 port-list' and check if these ports are part of quad group.
If it is a part of the quad group, the speed cannot be changed and it is not possible to split the ports separately from the port group members as it comes by design.
