Technical Tip: SSL VPN web mode does not work after upgrading to v7.4.8 on low end models

Description	This article describes an issue affecting SSL VPN web mode functionality after upgrading to version 7.4.8 on 2GB models.
Scope	FortiGate.
Solution	After upgrading the firmware to v7.4.8, SSL VPN web mode began displaying the message 'Error. Access denied.'. When running the following debugs, 'sslvpn check path failed' error is seen: diagnose debug application sslvpn -1 diagnose debug console timestamp enable diagnose debug enable 2025-06-04 13:17:20 [252:root:2c6]fsv_check_path_passed:997 No access: check path failed /migadmin/assets/brand-login-right.svg, /data/migadmin/assets, /migadmin/assets 2025-06-04 13:17:20 [252:root:2c6]sslvpn_zip_handler:136 sslvpn check path failed. This issue affects only the 2GB models and has been resolved in FortiOS version 7.4.9 (scheduled to be released in September 2025). These timelines for firmware release are estimates and may be subject to change. In the meantime, the recommended workaround is to downgrade the firmware.
