Description

This article describes how to set up an overlapping subnet configuration for an HA Management Interface.

Scope

FortiGate 6.X and 7.X

Solution

Go to Network -> Interface and edit Port3.

Edit Port4.

Use the same subnet IP as Port3 and disable the allow-subnet-overlap option in system settings:

config system settings
set allow-subnet-overlap [enable/disable]
end

Add Port4 to the management interface for HA:

Any subnet IP can be used for the HA management interface.

Note: Using an overlapping subnet is not recommended.
