| Description | This article describes the number of last passwords stored in FortiGate when the administrator disables the option of Allow password reuse. |
| Scope | FortiOS. |
| Solution |
When password policy is enabled, users will have the option to disable reuse of the last password with the following command:
In the GUI, the option can be disabled by navigating to System -> Settings -> Password Policy and toggling the option of Allow password reuse to off (default setting: on):
When this setting is configured, the user will not be able to reuse the last 3 passwords recorded in FortiOS.
Starting in FortiOS v7.6.x, the password history threshold can be configured to store up to 15 previously used passwords.
It is not possible to modify the number of last passwords stored. |
