Solution
If the sys-perf-log-interval value has already been set but System performance statistics logs still cannot be seen under System Events, make sure that the Log location set is any of the following: Memory, FortiAnalyzer, or FortiGate Cloud. Note that the mentioned log is not recorded when the Log location is Disk.
FortiGates with VDOMs enabled, the perf-stats are only available under the 'root' vdom.
