Technical Tip: Moving managed FortiAP to a different VDOM

Description	This article describes how to move a managed FortiAP from one VDOM to another VDOM.
Scope	FortiGate and FortiAP.
Solution	In this case, FortiAP is connected through a managed FortiSwitch. The FortiAP is connected through port2 on the FortiSwitch. The original VDOM is root and the new VDOM will be ccmc. FortiAP provision will depend on the managed VLAN where it is connected. To share FortiSwitch ports between VDOMs, refer to this document Multitenancy and VDOMs | FortiSwitch 7.0.8 | Fortinet Document Library. From the new VDOM, verify that the switch port where the AP is connected is presented with a new VLAN belonging to the new VDOM. After authorizing the AP on the new VDOM, it will be offline and online on the old VDOM.
