| Description | This article describes whether the version number for some of the licenses should change or not, according to the license status. |
| Scope | All FortiGates. |
| Solution |
In the following example, the license SKU FC-10-F100F-175-02-12 (366 Days coverage for FortiGate 100F FortiGuard Attack Surface Security Service) will be installed on FGT100F.
Before applying the contract registration code, in System -> FortiGuard -> Attack Surface Security Rating is showing as 'Not licensed'.
Once the contract registration code is applied, the 'Attack Surface Security Rating' changes to Licensed, and the expiration date is added to the license status. The version number has not changed for the specific license. Other licenses might affect the version number.
Note: Applying a license does not mean that the version number will change, but the license status must change to 'Licensed' regardless of the version number.
To update the version, refer to this article: Troubleshooting Tip: IoT and OT Detection definition show version 0.000. |
