Description
This article describes how to test the speed test for the public interface on the firewall.

Solution
From firewall version V6.4 the speed test of the WAN interface can be done from the firewall.
An interface speed test can be performed on WAN interfaces from the GUI.
The results of the test can be added to the interface's estimated bandwidth.
A SD-WAN Network Monitor license is required.

The License widget and the System -> FortiGuard page display the SD-WAN Network Monitor license status.

To run an interface speed test from the GUI:

1) Go to Network - > Interfaces.
2) Edit a WAN interface. The interfaces can be grouped by role using the grouping drop down on the right side of the toolbar.
3) Select 'Execute speed test' in the right panel.

4)  When the test completes, select 'Apply results' to estimated bandwidth.

The speed test results are used to populate the estimated bandwidth fields.

5) Select 'OK'.

Note.
In order to test the internet speed from the firewall that interface role has to be specified in the name of WAN.
Also that interface has the connectivity either the AWS or Google speed test servers.
