Solution |
FortiAnalyzer is integrated with FortiGate as a security fabric to forward the FortiGate logs and generate reports.
To configure the FortiAnalyzer in FortiGate
Go to Security Fabric -> Fabric Connectors -> Edit Logging & Analytics. Select FortiAnalyzer and set the status to enable. Enter the FortiAnalyzer IP or FQDN address and select OK.
The Connection Status will show as unauthorized. Upon clicking on the 'Authorize' option, a prompt to verify the FortiAnalyzer serial number will appear. Select Accept.
In FortiAnalyzer, under Device Manager, expand 'Unauthorized devices'.
Select the FortiGate device and then authorize the device by selecting the Authorize option on the top of the page.
Now in FortiGate, the FortiAnalyzer status should show as connected, as shown below.
