Description

This article describes how to view BGP connection information, such as Local IP and Port and foreign IP and Port.

It is also known as the Transmission Control Block (TCB) refers to the data structure used to manage TCP connections associated with BGP sessions.

Scope FortiGate.
Solution

In the attached image, it can be seen that there is neighborship between the FGT-1 and FGT-2.

It is possible to use the following command to view the connection information, also known as Transmission Control Block:

 

FGT-1 # get router info bgp neighbors 6.6.6.1 | grep -A8 Connections

Connections established 1; dropped 0
External BGP neighbor may be up to 255 hops away.
Local host: 5.5.5.1, Local port: 179
Foreign host: 6.6.6.1, Foreign port: 11058
