If the FortiGate has been deleted from FortiManager, consult the task monitor and event log (in both FortiManager and FortiGate) to verify the deletion.

If FortiGate has been deleted from its device, there is no information under Task Monitor (FortiManager). Task Monitor will provide information about the task that has been done on the FortiManager side. To delete a FortiGate from its device, change the status from 'enable' to 'disable'. After changing the status, the FortiGate will be automatically deleted from FortiManager (this is expected behavior).
