Description |
This article describes how to unregister fortiManager from FortiGate. |
Scope | FortiGate. |
Solution |
Scenario: The client’s HA environment is out-of-sync due to ‘system central-management’. Checking on the primary firewall, the serial number is not attached anymore. However, the secondary shows otherwise. Below is a replicated scenario of the client’s case. The secondary Firewall has the serial number configured but the FortiManager IP is no longer defined.
Unset the type on central-management, but error -582 occurs:
Error:
end Please unregister-device from FortiManager first. object set operator error, -582 discard the setting Command fail. Return code -582
Solution:
Execute the command below to unregister the FortiManager on the device:
execute central-mgmt unregister-device <SN>
Once this has been set, the type is automatically changed to ‘none’.
Note: In older versions, it is necessary to manually set the type to none as seen below.
