This article describes how to use the FortiConverter feature in FortiGate GUI without the need to login to the FortiConverter Portal. Starting v7.4.0 the FortiConverter option is added in the FortiOS GUI to directly convert configurations from older to new FortiGate devices without the need to access the FortiConverter Portal. |

At the top-right of the page select Admin Account -> Configuration -> FortiConverter:
Select Convert:
Fill in the contact info and select 'Save and continue'.
The current version of this FortiGate is v7.4.4. Choose 'Upload' for Source Config, select browse, and upload the backup configuration from the older version which is v6.4.15.
A ticket ID is generated. Select 'Save and continue':
Adjust the interface mapping for source and destination as desired and select 'Save and continue'.
It is optionally possible to configure the dedicated management access. Leave this option disabled for now and select 'Save and continue'.
Add additional comments as needed, and select 'Save and continue'.
Review and Submit:
Conversion request successfully sent. An email will be sent when the conversion is ready for download:
