Description
This tip concerns the monitoring of IM users in the GUI with FortiGate 4.0 MR2. In this version of firmware the User and Monitor sections for IM are automatically hidden if there is no user created for any IM protocol.

Solution
Create a new user from the CLI. Any user can be specified, it does not have to be a valid one.

#edit test-user

#end
After the user has been created, refresh the GUI and two new options will be available.
User->User->IM
User->Monitor->IM
