Description

This article describes how to import a certificate on FortiGate as a Server certificate for deep inspection.

Scope

FortiGate v7.0 and above, certificate, Deep inspection.

Solution

Import the certificate on Fortigate using the Certificate file(digital cert), Key file(private key), and password (if it exists).

If using the certificate as a server certificate, CA certificates need to be on FortiGate for deep inspection; if there is no CA on FortiGate, import them on the 'Import CA Certificate' of FortiGate.

After the above is done, the certificate and the CA certificate are on FortiGate.

It is possible to use the certificate as a Server certificate for deep inspection and so on.
