Description This article describes how to enable or disable POE (Power over Ethernet) on the interfaces of FortiGate models that support the feature.
Scope FortiGate models that support POE.
Solution

Some FortiGate models support the use of POE on their interfaces. For example, FortiGate 80E/81E-POE, FortiGate 70G/71G-POE, FortiGate 80F/81F-POE, FortiWiFi 81F-2R-3G4G-POE, and FortiGate 50/51G-SFP-POE.

In the GUI, the setting can be found under Network -> Interfaces, select the interface, and select the 'Edit' Button.  Under the Miscellaneous section, 'Enable Power over Ethernet (PoE)'. The feature is enabled by default in the unit.
