Fortinet device packages will often include a serial console cable similar to the one shown in the image below:
In most cases, the driver is installed automatically by the operating system when the cable is plugged in. In some cases, it is not automatically installed and must be procured manually. This cable makes use of an FTDI chip and its driver can be obtained from the FTDI Virtual COM Port Drivers page.
Go to the page, select the right operating System and processor architecture, then download and install.
