Technical Tip: How to download images/setup files from the support portal

This article describes how to download images/setup files from the support portal.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

To check the supported upgrade path:

1. Login to https://support.fortinet.com.
2. Select Download -> Firmware Images.
3. Select Product.
4. Select Upgrade Path.
5. Select Model.
6. Select the current FortiOS version and the version to upgrade to.
7. Select Go.

To download the firmware image:

1. Login to https://support.fortinet.com.
2. Select Download -> Firmware Images.
3. Select Product.
4. Select Download.
5. Select Version, Series, and Patch.
6. Download a file for a specific model by selecting 'HTTPS'.

Example: To download v7.6.0 for a FortiGate 101F model:

v7.00 / 7.6 / 7.6.0 / FGT_101F-v7.6.0.F-build3401-FORTINET.out

FGT_101F-v7.6.0.F-build3401-FORTINET.out

To download an FSSO setup file:

1. Login to https://support.fortinet.com.
2. Select Download -> Firmware Images.
3. Select Product.
4. Select Download.
5. Select Version, Series, and Patch.
6. Select FSSO Folder.
   1. Select 'DCAgent_Setup.exe' to download only a DC Agent setup.
   2. Select 'FSSO_Setup.exe' to download Collector Agent Suite.
   3. Select 'TSAgent_Setup' to download Terminal Server setup.

To download MIB files.

1. Login to https://support.fortinet.com.
2. Select Download -> Firmware Images.
3. Select Product.
4. Select Download.
5. Select Version, Series, and Patch.
6. Select MIB Folder.
7. Download 'FORTINET-CORE-MIB.mib' and 'FORTINET-FORTIGATE-MIB.mib'.
