3. The SNMPv3 settings will be visible. Select 'Create New':
4. Set a username (it is a special username for communication and authentication between SNMP agent and SNMP Manager).
In this example, the username will be testsnmpv3 and It set Authentication with SHA1, and then, will be necessary to set a password for Authentication. It will be used as a private using AES as an Encryption Algorithm and set its password. The password for Authentication and Private can be different.
5. Now set the IP address for SNMP Manager (Nagios in this case):
6. It will be necessary to enable options events. In this example, It will be set as default SNMP events. Select 'OK' and go to NAGIOS XI:
7. On NAGIOS XI, choose Configure -> Configuration Wizards:

9. Now set the parameters as configured by the SNMPv3 agent. NAGIOS can only work with FortiGate with MD5 and SHA for Authentication Protocols (In FortiGate is SHA1).As a Privacy protocol, NAGIOS only supports AES128 (On FortiGate is 'AES'). 10. Set the default settings on NAGIOS XI, select 'Next' during the next steps, and select 'Apply':
