Description

This article describes how to change the login mode of FortiGate when it is managed by FortiManager.

Scope

Solution

Navigate to Managed by FortiManager -> Change Login Mode:

Choose the Login Mode:

Read-Only Mode: Limits configuration changes on the FortiGate GUI/CLI while it's under FortiManager control.
Read-Write Mode: Allows local changes on the FortiGate GUI/CLI even while managed by FortiManager.
Log Out: Ending the administrative session with the device's GUI or CLI, ensuring that no unauthorized users can access the session.
