This article describes how to use the ISDB to give access to the WeChat application.

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

FortiGate does not have an ISDB only for WeChat, but it is possible to use the Tencent ISDB signature.

Tencent is the company that developed WeChat and the IPs for this application are present in this ISDB.

To accomplish this, just create a new policy and select the Tecent signature under the ISBD:

To be more restrictive, it is also possible to apply an application control profile in this policy to block all other applications and only allow WeChat, because Tencent has other applications that could be allowed using the previous ISDB:
