| Description | This article describes that the HA is out of sync due to system.storage. |
| Scope | FortiGate. |
| Solution |
By comparing the system storage on both clusters, the following output was observed: Go under FortiGate -> System -> HA. When hovering over the not synchronized, it will show a table for the system.storage:
Primary Units are showing SSD1 and SSD2 in the system storage.
Since, Secondary unit does not have SSD2, copying the SSD2 config to secondary unit showing partition '<unknown>':
For this, it is recommended to reformat the SSD2. Note the reference ID highlighted below. The secondary unit will be rebooted and rejoin the cluster back after the reformatting disk is completed. The unit should be synced afterward:
Note: If system.storage shows all values as 0 in checksum on one FortiGate but does not appear on another FortiGate, verify whether the hardware revision of both FortiGate units is the same. If the hardware revisions differ, enable 'ha ignore-hardware-revision'. Refer to the related article below for more information. |
