Description
The display of the global view and section view options on the policy page of the FortiGate GUI can be controlled from the CLI. If these options are not displayed it is probably because they have been disabled.

Solution
The following set of commands can be run on the FortiGate CLI to bring the global view and section view options back onto the GUI:
config system global
set gui-policy-interface-pairs-view enable
end

On newer versions of FortiOS, this command no longer exists. As an example, for v7.4.8, the GUI options under config system global are as follows:
