Description

This article describes the situation where the FortiView Sources feature does not show the graph in FortiGate under Dashboard -> FortiView Monitor. ( Sources, Destinations, Policies)

Scope

FortiGate v7.0 and above.

Solution

FortiView monitors do not display load vs. time graphs.

 

  1. Dashboard -> FortiView Sources/Destinations/Policies. The graph above the table is not visible.

To fix:                

  1. Check if the FortiGate model has 'Log hard disk: Available' by running this CLI command:

  • If it shows  'Log hard disk: Not available', this FortiGate model does not show the graph under FortiView monitor.
  • If it shows 'Log hard disk: Available', follow the steps below to show the graph under FortiView Sources of FortiGate.

 

Go to Dashboard -> FortiView Sources/Destinations/Policies -> Sort by Bytes. At the top right, select the '3 dots' icon to show the Settings icon:

Select the Setting icon, edit Dashboard Widget – Sources/Destinations/Policies  -> Device,  choose FortiGates, and select 'OK'.

It will show the graph under Dashboard -> Sources/Destinations/Policies >FortiView Sources by Bytes as below.
