Technical Tip: FortiSandbox Cloud region selection

Description

FortiSandbox Cloud services, also referred to as FortiCloud Sandbox services, are decoupled from the FortiCloud license, allowing users to specify a FortiSandbox Cloud region as well as take advantage of FortiSandbox features without a FortiCloud account.

This article describes how to set the FortiSandbox Cloud region.

Solution

To set the FortiSandbox Cloud region from GUI.

1) Go to Security Fabric -> Settings.
2) In the Sandbox Inspection section, select a region from the FortiSandbox cloud region dropdown.

The following regions are available:
- Europe
- Global
- Japan
- US

3) Select 'Apply'.

To set the FortiSandbox Cloud region from CLI.

- In the FortiOS CLI, enter the command: forticloud-sandbox region and select a region.

Alternatively "execute forticloud-sandbox region" lists available sandbox region and 

"execute fortiguard-log domain" lists available FortiGate Cloud domain for the device.
