Technical Tip: FortiGate-VM support for VMware NSX 3.1/3.2/4.1

Description This article describes insight into FortiOS and VMware compatibility.
Scope FortiGate-VM.
Solution

FortiOS v7.2 (starting with patch fix 1) and 7.0 (starting with patch fix 6) have received NSX-T 3.2 certification for new deployments.

FortiOS v7.0 (starting with patch fix 6) has received NSX-T 3.1 certification for new deployments.

FortiOS is not yet certified on NSX 4.1.


Per developer, FortiOS v7.2.1, v7.4.x, and above work fine on NSX 4.1. Developers are working on certifying the deployment by May 2024.


Once certified, it will be added to NSX-T guides.
